Synergy calculation is somewhat different than computation of the other components of a relationship. While in mutual commitment, for example, its strength is derived from averaging the level of each side, synergy is computed based on aspects in the combined chart (bi-wheel) of the parties.
As with other qualities - synergy level is graded from 0 (average or below) to 5.
