For education purposes, to give you an idea because I feel us Swedes never represent much, our most famous contribution to the world was probably botanist and plant afficionado Carl Linnaeus author of the Systema Naturae among other works. The city markets itself as the greenest city in the country, which is a positive image that might be appropriate but not exclusively so. Superlative quotes from Wikipedia about the man:

"The French philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau sent him the message: "Tell him I know no greater man on earth."[3] The German writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe wrote: "With the exception of Shakespeare and Spinoza, I know no one among the no longer living who has influenced me more strongly."[3]

Again I'm merely out of interest (self-interest surely) trying to establish what insignificant piece of earth I currently call home, please bare with my introduction of this place.

Anyway, this seems like a good enough place as any to sink some time into, get to know some new people and possibly learn a thing or two about myself.
