Remembering a poster I saw near the Irwin & McLaren bookbinders in Richmond (not too far from where I live) that said "Womyn own 1% of the world's wealth", I (knowing really what the "womyn" was for - see "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Womyn") began to write "womyn" when I meant "women" (I used AutoCorrect so that when I typed "womyn" it changed it to "women") to give a playfulness to my work. When I looked for "womyn" on the web, I was attracted, as a reader who thinks of myself as willing to read any point of view as long as it's firmly enough argued, attracted to the site "www.fathersforlife.org/feminism/borkch11.htm", probably because it seemed to actualy look at the question of using such a spelling - which Bork, in contrast to most people around me, saw as "an atrocity". Some of the things he said about radical feminism and the extent to which he believed it had influenced modern society were really made me think, as did his exposure of the astounding vulgarity of "Big Man With A Gun" (the way Bork calls Nine Inch Nails rap is so ludicrous it's funny). I imagine that two groups of kids who said "I'll **** kill you" and "I'm gonna shoot you, ****" to me in the 1990s might well have been influenced by "Big Man With A Gun" as its parent album was very popular. Moreover, there is no denying that song really does condone violence. Human Events (remember) listed "Slouching Towards Gomorrah" (the book from which the ideas mentioned above were taken) in a list at "http://www.humanevents.com/sarticle.php?id=15003" titled "Top 10 Books Liberals Would Like to Burn". My brother ridiculed the list, speaking of the "holy Bilb" and saying sarcastically "by God??". Whilst the list is dubious, given the place of "Slouching Towards Gomorrah" on that list and Bork's influence of the US legal system, he would be a worthy addition to the list. Related to Bork is former presidential candidate and author Pat Buchanan, whose book "The Death of the West" I have read extensively and it has quite interesting and reasonable arguments even if he is politically very biased. Having been once a Presidential candidate and having influenced the disputed 2000 election, Buchanan can be regarded as a significant figure in his era of US politics. Looking at their charts, with Buchanan I often see his abundant water as almost symbolising his strong belief in the power of religion and hatred of worldliness (having recently studied personality theory, I am aware that abundant "thinking" tends to suppress religious faith which Buchanan sees as essnetial to societies surviving). Bork also has abundant water but the Libra Ascendant and Gemini Mars would rank as the last influence one would expect to produce a repressive moralist. (Gemini and Libra are basically libertine regarding ethical standards because they have so little sense of right and wrong). BIRTH DATA: ROBERT BORK (from "http://www.astrotheme.fr/en/portraits/cnEWTNwMp57c.htm"): March 1, 1927 at 20:16 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States PAT BUCHANAN: November 2, 1938 in Mount vernon, New York, USA - According to "http://www.khaldea.com/charts/patbuchanan.shtml", his birht time is 12:20 - According to "http://www.astrotheme.fr/en/portraits/T7u25Wr6rCV4.htm", his birth time is 0:20 Since I tend strongly to believe one of those must be an undetected typo, and Pat Buchanan's name is listed in the AstroDataBank at "http://www.astrodatabank.com/Nms_b.htm" which you use for birth times, I hope you can tell me which one is correct and use it. |

Thank you again, Julien for using mind openers
Pat's birth time of 00:20 is derived from a quote by Richard Houck, a colleague of his who remembers that Pat was born "somewhat after midnight". |

Thank you for the information. I hope the two charts will come up soon.
Indeed, when the boy in the first incident said "I'll **** kill you", he threw a heavy rock at my head and I was really lucky the rock did not strike my head and possibly break my neck. It cost me $50 to avoid being killed - my mother was appalled and believed I could have ignored them but I was carrying a heavy load of shopping and it would have been hard for me to outrun them. I always imagiend they had been influenced by violent movies to want to kill me even though my mother always says my tendency to accost people and to burble in public draws attention to me from thugs who find a target to take their anger out. |
