Quotes:
At different stages in our lives, the signs of love may vary: dependence, attraction, contentment, worry, loyalty, grief, but at heart the source is always the same. Human beings have the rare capacity to connect with each other, against all odds.--Michael Dorris
Be faithful to your love and you will be recompensed beyond measure.--Albert Schweitzer
The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves, and not to twist them to fit our own image. Otherwise we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them.--Thomas Merton
But groundless hope, like unconditional love, is the only kind worth having.-- John Perry Barlow
Every day I live I am more convinced that the waste of life lies in the love we have not given, the powers we have not used, the selfish prudence that will risk nothing and which, shirking pain, misses happiness as well.--Mary Cholmondeley
For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul.--Judy Garland
I don't want to live. I want to love first, and live incidentally.--Zelda Fitzgerald
I have no regrets. I will never regret loving someone because the feeling of love for five minutes is greater than an eternity of hurt.--Kurt Langner
Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket--safe, dark, motionless, airless--it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable.--C. S. Lewis
Love is the ultimate outlaw. It just won't adhere to any rules. The most any of us can do is sign on as its accomplice.--Tom Robbins
Love knows no rank or riverbank, it will spark between the Queen and the hapless beggar who is playing the king; and their love should be minded by each. For Love denied blights the soul we owe to God.--Wm. Shakespeare
Gypsy's Thoughts:
Is it just me? Does it strike anyone else as odd that most people treat love like a limited commodity? As if it needs to be hoarded and saved up. Listen up people, if you ignore everything else I ever write, don't ignore this: Love given is never a waste. Love given comes back to you not threefold, not tenfold, but in torrents that may well overwhelm you. And nothing in this world will make you feel as you feel when you truly love unconditionally, with no agenda, no strings, no anything except to let the beloved know they are loved. Yet so many miss this experience because they are convinced that they are doomed to heartbreak, or that they are unworthy of love. Just do it. Smile at a stranger. Tell someone you love how you feel. Better yet, show them. Practice random acts of kindness. Be love in action and you will reap happiness. Promise.
Mantra:
I am open to love and all of it's gifts.
Namaste,
Gypsy
