Hi,
A correction for you. Ammachi is not Mother Meera. Mother Meera was born in 1960 in an entirely different town than you have. This is Ammachi: http://www.amma.org/ Hope this helps. |

Welcome aboard, bluesbeat.
Thank you much for a well needed correction. I've no clue why I called Amma "Mother Meera". Maybe because I had Mother Meera on my mind while I learned that one of Ammachi's nicknames is "Mother". The changes will take place within the next few days. |

Hi again,
If you want to add Mother Meera to your database that would be cool. Here is some info: Born December 26th, 1960. Chandepalle, India. Chandepalle is a small town (it's hard to find even on a map) so you might have better luck if you use Nalgonda. I'm not sure of the hour though. b. |

Thank you, BluesBeat.
We're a bit too slow in publishing new material this week but hopefully you'll see them both by the beginning of next week. Do you know of meaningful relationships in the life of Mother Meera and Ammachi? If yes, than please post them on the Famous Relationships forum. |

Hello BluesBeat. Busy or not, we're here to serve
Let's make sure that we're on the same page. We corrected Ammachi's interpretation a few days ago by omitting Mother Meera's name which we though by mistake that it is one of Ammachi's nicknames. If you do not see the change, please click refresh on your browser which might have not detected that it should reload Ammachi's pages. Or am I missing something else altogether? Please be patient with us and point out other mistakes on Ammachi's profile. |

Hello Shlomo Tommer,
My apologies, the text is corrected as you say. Perhaps I was looking at an older cache a couple of days ago. The photo still needs correction though as it is still of Mother Meera. At the bottom of the first page of your Ammachi profile it says "Ammachi's picture is in courtesy of Sathya.com". Fortunately they have entries for both Mother Meera and Ammachi so you can see for yourself without having to search different websites. Here you go: http://www.sathya.com/livingSaints/Ammachi http://www.sathya.com/livingSaints/mothermeera As far as the name Ammachi goes, yes it can be confusing. "Amma" means mother in a number of languages and it is true that both Mother Meera and Mata Amritanandamayi are refered to as Amma by their followers. Mother=Amma=Mata. So while I have seen both Mother Meera and Amritanandamayi refered to as Amma, I've only ever seen the word Ammachi associated with Amritanandamayi. Actually if you type in Ammachi in wikipedia it redirects to Mata Amritanandamayi's page. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ammachi You will find the same result in a google search. Anyway, I'm sorry if I seem to be picky about this. I'm only trying to make things clear. Your site is wonderful and you do a great service to others by maintaining it. I'm sure it is a thankless job at times but I for one appreciate your efforts. b |
